Meanwhile, top BBC executives receive healthy rewards for their work. Whilst

Gordon Brown is paid a modest £172,000 per year to run the country, The BBC

Director General receives £469,000. Whilst the wage bill of the entire

government Cabinet is £3m, the full BBC executive committee receives over £5m.

Should the BBC continue collecting the license Fee?

D_Cino I wouldn't mind if the British Broadcasting Corporation actually lived up to it's name and stood for the interests of the British people, but as it stands it is a leftwing mouth piece for minorities, homosexuals, feminists and Islamism.

Here is the reply I got recently from the TVLA when I removed their common law access to my property. Anyone can do it.

By all means have an advert free channel that you can choose to pay for, But WE do not have a choice.
Everyone in the country with a TV set has to pay for BBC whether they wish to watch it or not. This makes it a tax. So those of us who are happy to accept adverts are subsidising those who watch Advert free TV. This is neither democratic or fair.
911WasAnInsideJob Some of us like watching telly and listening to the radio WITHOUT ADVERTS.
want another ITV ? Thought not.

I think its daylight robbery if you have cable or sky you have to pay for these channels and then some then you have to pay for a licence to watch all the repeats on bbc over and over again of course some-one sat on thier backside trying to look intellegent is quids in again the bbc gets paid twice, i think correct me if im wrong.

In the 21st C the concept of a TV license is totally out dated and should be scrapped.
There are 100s of channels to choose from and after the change over from analogue to digital is complete and the full bandwidth of digital can be exploited there will be 100s more. Why should one TV company get special treatment.
Let the BBC take its chances in the general free for all of the commercial world. We will soon see if these feather bedded producers and presenters are really worth their salaries?
